What We’ve Done With Your Help
Debtors and creditors don’t need to make phone calls for the latest case and claims data. They can simply log in to the National Data Center. Over 40 million active claims currently reside in our national data repository, assisting debtors and creditors as they meet obligations, track disbursements, and analyze portfolios. The mission of the NDC is to furnish national Chapter 13 case information to parties-in-interest (and other appropriate persons) via a single Internet website while protecting the legitimate privacy interest of debtors. It’s easy, secure, and available twenty-four hours a day.
In just a few short years, more than 160 Trustees have chosen to provide their data to the National Data Center. With more than four million monthly inquiries to our database – handled with greater security than most banking websites – the NDC helps everyone in the Chapter 13 community access and use critical case information. The National Data Center represents a continuing evolution in Chapter 13 communication and productivity.
What’s On The Horizon
As with any valuable data source, we recognize the opportunities for constant innovation – putting data to work in new and productive ways. Below is a short list of the enhancements we are working on for the near future:
- Claim Mark, an ease-of-use tool that easily highlights a specific creditor’s claims activities Available Now
- The Internal Revenue Service will leverage the NDC to redirect debtors’ tax return dollars to Trustees in care of the debtor’s estate In Progress
- The NDC will be releasing a Spanish-language version of the site, with more languages to follow In Progress
