NEW ORLEANS, LA - June 8, 2005 - USFN's National Default Servicing Seminar & Technology Forum National Data Center announces Project LoRA - Bringing nationwide Chapter 13 data to Local and Regional Default Servicers.
Established by Chapter 13 Trustees, the National Data Center (NDC) is the exclusive source for comprehensive Chapter 13 case and claims data. The NDC's current business model is designed to meet the needs of National Creditors and large Default Servicer Organizations. "It is our intention to continue to meet the growing Chapter 13 information needs of our national default clients while identifying ways that we may make this valuable information source available, cost-effectively, to the regional legal firms and creditors" says Bob Brasiel, NDC's Vice President of Data Solutions. "We believe LoRA is a good first step to open up our valuable data source to the Default Community, at large."
In order to accommodate this broader market segment, the NDC is funding LoRA (Local and Regional Access). Our proposed release will offer Local and Regional Default Servicers access to Court system of record information for various activities, including validation or proactive management of filings, tracking of relevant dates, Debtor Payment records, and Trustees Disbursements.
The NDC plans to offer this limited access alternative to their National Chapter 13 Case and Claims Database on a per use basis. LoRA users will be able to maintain a user portfolio of 500 active Chapter 13 Cases. An initial security audit will be performed in order to validate that a LoRA subscriber is a legitimate party-in-interest to information requested. Payments will be securely processed via an e-commerce billing system. A nominal initial setup and authentication fee is planned.
National subscribers will continue to enjoy the full array of services available from the NDC, including secure delivery of all participating Trustee data for analysis or integration into a subscriber's tracking or analytical system; Our Voucher Download service; and the NDC Information Portal. These options will not be available to LoRA subscribers.

About the National Data Center
The National Data Center (NDC) is a non-profit organization established by Chapter 13 Trustees in direct response to the request of the National Creditor Community to improve communication regarding Chapter 13 cases. The NDC is the exclusive source for comprehensive Chapter 13 case and claim data. The goal of the National Data Center is to provide national Chapter 13 case information to parties-in-interest through multiple delivery options including a single, secured, Internet Website or a secured transfer of a client's portfolio data set. Our data use policies are to protect the legitimate privacy interests of the Debtors. Trustees do not financially benefit from the NDC - all Trustee involvement is on a volunteer basis.
